Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Discusses Proposals with the National Forum for Youth Leadership to Promote Women’s Economic Empowerment and Participation in Decision-Making

Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, Dr. Ahd Mohammed Jaasous, reviewed with the National Forum for Youth Leadership for Decision-Making proposals to promote women’s economic empowerment, strengthen leadership capacities, and expand women’s participation in decision-making.

Minister of State for Women’s Affairs, Dr. Ahd Mohammed Jaasous, discussed with a delegation from the National Forum for Youth Leadership for Decision-Making (NFYD) a number of proposals and projects aimed at supporting Yemeni women and enhancing their participation in decision-making processes, in addition to developing economic empowerment programs and building leadership capacities.

Dr. Jaasous emphasized the importance of strengthening partnership and coordination with civil society organizations and youth forums in order to develop practical and sustainable initiatives and programs that promote the empowerment of Yemeni women, expand their opportunities to participate in public life and decision-making positions, and support their active role in economic and social development. She stressed the importance of integrating efforts and coordinating initiatives to address women’s needs and enhance their role in building society.

During the meeting, NFYD President Mr. Mahdi Al-Morawsi presented a number of ideas and proposals addressing issues and needs related to women, particularly enhancing women’s presence and participation in decision-making, developing their capacities in leadership and advocacy, and supporting economic empowerment by creating practical pathways that enable women to translate their skills and capabilities into sustainable economic opportunities.
